Habitats and Species

Landmark’s barristers have very extensive experience both of the EU Habitats Directive regime and of other legislation that protects wildlife. We act for central government, Natural England, local authorities and other public bodies, private developers and those who object to proposed development.

The work carried out by members in connection with the conservation of habitats and species concern the designation of sites, appropriate assessment and special protection and licensing. We have been involved in advising on guidance, legislation and the undertaking of habitats assessments.
