The Secretary of State has decided to make a Transport and Works Act order which revives land acquisition powers for an 11km extension to the Midland Metro tram network. The order has been made subject to the completion of special Parliamentary procedure. 17 new tram stops will be provided on a route which will connect Brierley Hill and Dudley and other communities and regeneration areas to the existing Midland Metro network at Wednesbury. Neil Cameron QC acted for the scheme promoter, the West Midlands Combined Authority.
