Waste development inquiry opens in Horsham, West Sussex

The public inquiry into the proposal for a “Recycling, Recovery and Renewable Energy Facility” in Horsham, West Sussex opened this week. The proposal comprises a materials recovery facility and an energy from waste facility. All parties are represented by Landmark barristers. The inquiry is listed to last for 3 weeks. The main issues include whether the proposal would be consistent with the aims of local and national waste management policy, the effect on the character and appearance of the area, and the effect on public health.
