Landmark secures permission on appeal for second contemporary scheme in Dorset conservation area

The Planning Inspectorate has granted permission on appeal for the demolition of a locally listed 19^th century villa situated in Branksome Conservation Area, Poole, and its replacement with a highly contemporary block of flats.  Robert Walton QC represented the successful developer, Highdrive Property Co Ltd, instructed by Darryl Howells at Pure Town Planning.

This is the second contemporary scheme that has been allowed in the Conservation Area on appeal, McCarthy & Stone having secured permission for 37 one and two bed Retirement Living Apartments, currently under construction.  Robert Walton QC acted for McCarthys on that appeal too, instructed by Peter Graham at the Planning Bureau.
