Supreme Court hears worker registration case

It concerns the legality of the UK’s decision to extend the Worker Registration Scheme (which applied to individuals coming to work in the UK from the 8 Accession States which joined the EU in 2004) by two years, between 2009 and 2011. There is also a discrete issue about rights of permanent residence.
