Instructing Solicitor: Speechly Birhcam (Jeremy Hudson)

Acted for: Howard de Walden Estates

Court of Appeal (and previously Central London County Court)

House of Lords hearing in May 2008

This case concerns the question of principle whether a headlessee of a multi-let building is entitled to seek renewals of individual leases under the 1993 enfranchisement legislation, a question which will now be determined by the House of Lords in May 2008. In the Court of Appeal, the case also concerned the constitutional law question of whether a High Court decision is binding on a County Court.
