A further challenge to the decision to proceed with High Speed 2 has been made. An application for permission to bring judicial review proceedings has been lodged by Heathrow Hub Ltd and a related company. The companies have interests in the site earmarked for a hub station on the HS2 line were it to be routed via Heathrow airport. The companies have been vigorous proponents of the benefits in sustainability and other terms of such an intermodal interchange, which has been rejected by the Department for Transport in the decision now challenged.
