David Elvin QC acted for the UK Government against the EU commission in infraction proceedings brought by the Commission against the UK relating to the implementation of EIA and pollution controls relating to the use of substitute fuels in cement manufacture. We were successful and the ECJ rejected the claim by the Commission.
