Yorkshire green grid

The Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero has granted development consent for a £400m grid reinforcement project, Yorkshire GREEN. The project comprises new and altered overhead lines and substations to reinforce the grid between York and Monk Fryston, enabling increased power flows to accommodate new renewable energy generation connections.

Richard Turney and Charles Bishop acted for National Grid Electricity Transmission plc, the applicant for development consent, instructed by Womble Bond Dickinson (UK) LLP.
