Westleaze, Charminster Appeal

Instructed by Pegasus, Graeme represented Land Value Alliances Limited at an 8 day Inquiry, promoting the development of up to 120 dwellings on the edge of Charminster. The appeal involved contentious planning, housing land supply, landscape, heritage and highways matters, requiring cross examination of multiple expert witnesses, including Historic England, who objected to the scheme because of alleged harm to the significance of a Grade I listed early Tudor and Elizabethan house. Permission refused, due to less than substantial harm caused to the significance of the Grade 1 house and landscape and visual effects.
