Following an appeal hearing, a planning inspector has allowed an appeal and granted permission to Gleeson Land/Rydon Homes for the development of 200 homes on land West of Station Road, Hailsham in East Sussex. The appellants were also awarded full costs of their appeal against Wealdon District Council.

The appeal decision may be accessed here and the costs decision is available here.

The appellants were represented by John Litton KC who was instructed by Barton Willmore (now Stantec).

This is John's second successful appeal this week in East Sussex, following on from the Mornings Mill Farm appeal where the Inspector in that case also allowed an appeal and granted full costs against Wealdon District Council.
