New homes

Lancashire County Council and its development partner Maple Grove Developments (part of the Eric Wright Group) secured planning permission for Lancashire Central – a major employment-led mixed use scheme at the confluence of the M6, M65 and M61 motorways, comprising up to 1.6million sq. ft. of high-quality commercial and business space with the potential to create c.2,400 construction jobs and up to 5,600 full time jobs once operational. It is anticipated that the increased expenditure in the region, once the development is complete, will boost the local economy by up to £390 million per year.
