Odette Chalaby, planning and environmental specialist, joins Landmark Chambers

Landmark Chambers is pleased to welcome Odette Chalaby, a highly regarded barrister with expertise in planning, infrastructure, environmental, and public law. Ranked sixth among the UK’s top junior planning barristers under 35 by Planning Magazine, Odette brings exceptional talent and insight to our leading planning team.

Odette represents developers, public authorities and interested parties at all stages of the planning process, including in the Courts, section 78 appeals, and DCOs.

Odette’s recent experience includes securing permission for a novel “Grey Belt” solar farm at inquiry, representing the developer as junior counsel for a proposed sand and gravel quarry in the Green Belt at Hatfield Aerodrome, representing a community group in the Gatwick airport expansion DCO, and multiple residential planning appeals for both developers and local authorities. In terms of environmental work, Odette is involved in the ongoing climate change Advisory Opinion proceedings before both the International Court of Justice and Inter-American Court of Human Rights.
