Public law barrister Natasha Jackson has joined Landmark Chambers’ 52-strong public law group. She has a wide-ranging public law practice with a particular focus on human rights, education, immigration and cases with an international dimension. Natasha (2015 call) has a range of advocacy and public inquiry experience and has appeared in the Supreme Court, the Privy Council and the Court of Appeal. She is presently instructed as leading junior counsel to the Iraq Fatality Investigations, an Article 2 inquiry led by Baroness Heather Hallett into civilian deaths in Iraq involving British Forces. Natasha has acted in a number of high-profile cases and brings her experience as a commercial advocate to her public law practice. She is currently instructed on behalf of the Credit Suisse Deal Team in Republic of Mozambique v Credit Suisse International & Ors, a multi-billion-dollar civil fraud claim in the Commercial Court concerning the enforceability of a state guarantee. She also successfully defended Camila Batmanghelidjh, the CEO of the high-profile children’s charity Kids Company, in the 10-week directors disqualification trial arising out of the charity’s collapse. Natasha is a member of the Attorney General’s C Panel of Counsel and acts as Standing Counsel to the Office of the Independent Adjudicator. She also teaches Public Law at the London School of Economics.
