Landmark Chambers is delighted to welcome Georgina Fenton as a tenant after the completion of her 12-month pupillage.

During her pupillage Georgina undertook 12 months of virtual and in-person training across all of Landmark’s specialist areas including planning, property, environmental and public law.

Prior to starting pupillage, Georgie was a judicial assistant in the Court of Appeal to Lord Justice Lindblom assisting on a variety of planning cases. Most notably, Georgie assisted with the writing of the judgment for the Heathrow Airport expansion case, which was the first significant ruling in the world on the Paris Climate Agreement (R. (on the application of Plan B Earth) v Secretary of State for Transport [2020] EWCA Civ 214).

Prior to and during her legal studies, Georgie volunteered with Communities Empowerment Network, Reprieve and Citizens Advice.

Commenting on the news, Head of Landmark’s Pupillage Committee, Carine Patry, said: “We are delighted to welcome Georgina to the team. There’s no doubt that she will prove to be an excellent addition to chambers and, more importantly, to our clients who continue to expect and deserve the very highest standards of advocacy and advice from Landmark Chambers.

“We have all been incredibly impressed with Georgina’s resilience, especially given the unusual circumstances she has faced because of the Covid-19 pandemic. We look forward to supporting her as her career develops.”
