Landmark Chambers has closely followed and supported the strike action undertaken by our colleagues at the Criminal Bar. We note the pay deal reached with the government earlier this month, which we hope will prevent the serious demise of the Criminal Bar and therefore the criminal justice system. As a Chambers, Landmark will always support the principle that publicly funded legal work is a vital public service that deserves fair remuneration. We recognise, however, that many will still struggle financially as a result of their participation in the strike action and so Landmark would encourage everyone who is able to do so to donate to the CBA Hardship Fund, designed to support those colleagues at the Criminal Bar who are still suffering financial hardship from a loss of work due to their participation. For more information on the Criminal Bar, including how to donate to the CBA Hardship Fund, please follow this link.
