Important residential schools report published

Fiona Scolding QC was senior counsel to this investigation which over a three year period, sought to examine both past practices in schools but also more recent instances of sexual abuse in school settings.  The investigation also focused upon the needs of children and young people with disabilities and SEN who are more vulnerable to abuse.  It makes a series of recommendations to improve the current safeguarding system as it operates in schools in respect of training, education, inspection and enforcement.
