Enforcement Notice appeal upheld

Following a four-day hearing in November 2022 and January 2023, Inspector H M Higenbottam BA (Hons) MRTPI has upheld the enforcement notice served by Wokingham Borough Council against the unlawful change of use of land Woodlands Farm, Wood Lane, Arborfield RG41 4TS to use as sui generis contractors’ yard. The Inspector agreed with the Council that the substantial economic benefits arising from the use did not justify the highway safety, character and appearance and residential amenity issues the use would cause.
