Dan Kolinsky KC appointed as a Deputy High Court Judge

Landmark Chambers is pleased to announce that The Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon, has appointed Dan Kolinsky KC as a Deputy High Court Judge, under section 9(4) of the Senior Courts Act 1981, for a single fixed six-year term. This appointment begins with immediate effect and Dan has been assigned to the King’s Bench Division.

This is a part time role and Dan will continue in practice as a barrister.

Described in Chambers and Partners 2023 as “a really formidable advocate, who is clear, concise and excellent”, Dan’s expertise crosses over four out of five of Landmark’s specialist areas, planning, environment, rating and valuation, and public law. Dan has appeared in the Supreme Court in several rating and planning cases in recent years.

Dan was appointed King’s Counsel in 2015, appointed as a Recorder in 2018 and is a CEDR accredited mediator. He was a member of the Attorney General’s “A” Panel before taking silk.

David Holland KC and Reuben Taylor KC, Joint Head of Chambers at Landmark, said:

We wish to congratulate Dan and wish him every success in this new role.”.
