Property Law Nuts & Bolts, Part 5: Forfeiture – where to begin

Tuesday 21 May 2024

This event is part of our popular Property Law Nuts & Bolt seminar series and focuses on Forfeiture. This is free to attend and will take place in a hybrid format in person (Landmark Chambers, 180 Fleet Street, London, EC4A 2HG) and online (Zoom).

Overview

Forfeiture is a notoriously tricky subject: the law is complex; and the procedure technical. Getting the tactics right can be hugely valuable to clients in both residential and commercial landlord and tenant disputes. This session will provide delegates with an overview of three key areas: an introduction to forfeiture, waiver, and relief from forfeiture. The speakers will review some of the recent caselaw on these topics and draw from their own experiences in forfeiture cases.

These seminars are designed to introduce key topics that are likely to crop up for property litigators. The talks will provide an overview of the legal and procedural landscape with plenty of time for questions from delegates.

In person attendance is highly recommended so that delegates can meet the speakers and enjoy complimentary refreshments. Please note, places for in-person attendance are limited.

Access to the recording and the presentation slides will be provided upon request following the event - please email marketing@landmarkchambers.co.uk.
