Hill Residential Ltd has secured permission on appeal for the development of 576 new homes in seven blocks ranging from 6 – 16 storeys in height on the edge of Stevenage Town Centre.  The scheme, designed by Justin Kelly of architects BPTW, was originally granted permission on appeal in 2021 but the Inspector’s decision was quashed by consent following a challenge brought by the Local Planning Authority on account of errors made by the Inspector in determining the appeal.  The scheme was allowed following a second public inquiry held in June 2022.

Robert Walton QC acted for Hill throughout the appeal process, instructed by Colin Campbell, Head of Planning, Hill Group UK Ltd.
