William (Bill) Hicks KC came to the Bar with the intention of specialising in planning. He was called in 1975 and took silk in 1995. He was joint head of Eldon Chambers one of the two Chambers which merged to form Landmark Chambers. He has been involved in a wide range of planning work for over 25 years.

Some particular areas of expertise are retail, residential, highways, infrastructure, transportation, listed buildings, environment and energy.
