The Stephen Knafler QC Scholarship: update

Applications are now open for the refugee/migrant scholarship at City Law School, set up to commemorate Stephen Knafler QC. Anthony Gold solicitors, Landmark Chambers, Garden Court Chambers, Doughty Street Chambers and others have contributed to this scholarship scheme designed to support a student who has held refugee or asylum status in the UK and intends to practice at the Bar of England and Wales. To find out more information about why this scholarship was set up, please follow this link. The criteria for applicants is:

  • Studying, at the same time as the BPC, on one of the following bar-related courses: postgraduate diploma, postgraduate diploma with specialism, or LLM;
  • A refugee or recent migrant to the UK, or child of a migrant or refugee;
  • Financial hardship.
