Secretary of State grants Lord Derby's application at Hatchfield Farm, Newmarket

Following three public inquiries, two High Court challenges (including Save Historic Newmarket [2011] JPL 1233) and a favourable Local Plan Review, the Secretary of State has accepted the recommendations of his inspector and granted planning permission on the Earl of Derby's land at Hatchfield Farm, Newmarket, despite opposition from the horse racing industry based at Newmarket.
