Home > Seminars > Webinar – Exam Appeals: hints and tips

This webinar has now taken place. You can find a link to the webinar recording in our resources tab or by clicking here.

Landmark Chambers will be hosting a webinar on Thursday 5th August 2021 at 5.00pm – 5.40pm.

The 2021 A level and BTEC exam results are released on Tuesday 10 August 2021. Schools and parents are hoping that all will be well, but the prospect of some appeals cannot be discounted, in particular given the differing approaches that schools have taken to teacher assessments, and the general view that the information given to schools about assessments was provided very late in the day.

**This event will be hosted on Zoom as a webinar, please visit https://zoom.us/privacy to read Zoom’s privacy policy. Landmark Chambers’ privacy notice may be accessed here. Participation is free of charge however, advance registration is required. Please note that participants will receive the joining instructions by email prior to the webinar.**

Thursday 5th August 2021

17:00 - 17:40

Free to attend

This webinar sets out the rights of appeal, how they can be exercised, and what sort of topics are likely to be the subject of most appeals or complaints. It will take the form of a discussion between Fiona Scolding QC and Ben Fullbrook, members of the Landmark education team who have been involved in many cases concerning examination results, including the threat to judicially review the outcome of last year’s A level results.

We also want to hear from you. If you have any questions or issues that you’ve come across, and would particularly like us to address, please submit these questions in advance by email to: marketing@landmarkchambers.co.uk (names will not be attributed).
