Wards Corner - Secretary of State confirms regeneration CPO in Haringey

The Secretary of State has confirmed the Compulsory Purchase Order for the redevelopment of the Wards Corner site in Haringey.  Click here for a copy of the decision and here for a copy of the Inspector’s report. The main objectors were Latin American market traders who objected because of the temporary displacement of the market, raising issues under the Equalities and Human Rights legislation. The Secretary of State decided their rights had been sufficiently protected and that the redevelopment would bring substantial benefits.
