Secretary of State confirms Tamworth regeneration CPO

The Secretary of State has confirmed the Tamworth Borough Council (Kerria Estate Tamworth) Compulsory Purchase Order 2016.  The CPO underpins the Council's regeneration of the estate, comprising the replacement of  the existing 1960s purpose-built neighbourhood centre, community hall, and residential units, with a mixed use scheme comprising 44 new homes, all of which will be affordable, and 380sqm of A1 Retail.  The scheme will be delivered alongside the Council's regeneration of the Tinkers Green Estate with an overall cost of some £17m.
