Proposed 120 dwelling residential development at Leek Road, Buxton, High Peak District

6 day inquiry into an appeal by Persimmon Homes against High Peak District Council’s refusal to grant planning permission for an up to 120 dwelling residential development on the edge of Buxton. The main issues included whether the Council could demonstrated a 5 year housing land supply, the landscape and visual impact of the development (in particular its effect on the adjacent Peak District National Park) and the proper interpretation of relevant development plan policies.
