Planning permission granted on appeal for new student accommodation in Canterbury

CSQ Ltd has secured planning permission on appeal for the development of 223 student studio units on the site of the former Dairy Crest building at 57-64 Military Road, Canterbury.  The new building, which will stand in the Canterbury (Clyde, Alma and Notley) Conservation Area and be seen in views of the Canterbury Cathedral World Heritage Site, had been refused by the City Council on heritage grounds. Robert Walton advised CSQ Ltd throughout the appeal process, instructed by Mishcon de Reya LLP.
