Young v Laurentani [2007] 2 FLR 1211

This was a co-ownership dispute. The main issue was whether the parties had entered into an oral agreement that supplemented the terms of a Trust Deed. The Court also gave guidance on the taking of an equitable account. Mr Justice Lindsay started his judgment by say that: "This action is concerned with the always-vexed questions which arise when the relationship between parties who have lived together s if man and wife has broken down; where, sadly only bitterness has proved to have flourished in the soil which once hope and love had briefly seemed viable and where obligations and accounting between the parties relating to the acquisition and enjoyment of the quasi-matrimonial home cannot be agreed."
