Yasotharan v Spelthorne Borough Council

Stephen Whale successfully represented Spelthorne Borough Council in an appeal against its decision to revoke the premises licence of a food and wine store in its area. This revocation followed the very first application by members of the public in the area for a review of a licence, following incidents of under-age alcohol sales to very young teenagers. The court dismissed the appeal against revocation and awarded the Council its legal costs in the sum of £6,000.
