Camilla Lamont appeared in the Chancery Division on behalf of the landlord, SPP Opportunities Fund LLP, successfully opposing an application to challenge an arbitrator's rent review award under section 68 of the Arbitration Act 1996 on the grounds of serious irregularity. Lewison J held that the intrinsic weakness of the challenge was a decisive factor in refusing leave to challenge out of time even though the delay of 12 days would not in itself have justified refusal of leave.
