Ramathami v Secretary of State for the Home Department [2015] EWHC 2079 (QB)

The administrative detention of a failed asylum seeker who had been subject to a recommendation for deportation had not breached the Hardial Singh principles. His behaviour, which comprised not only a lack of co-operation in the obtaining of travel documents but also a repeated lie about his nationality, merited not insignificant weight.
