R (Silus Investments SA) v Hounslow Borough Council [2015] EWHC 358

The High Court has quashed a decision of Hounslow Borough Council to designate Chiswick High Road as a conservation area in R (Silus Investments SA) v Hounslow Borough Council [2015] EWHC 358.  Mrs Justice Lang decided that there had been procedural unfairness through inadequate consultation and the officer’s report which recommended designation was misleading.   It is an important case in a series dealing with conservation area designation which began with Trillium [2011] EWHC 146.
