The Local Government Election Court had been entitled to find that making grants to particular organisations had amounted to “bribery” but it was arguable that there had not been any undue influence by threatening to inflict spiritual injury and the claimant’s bankruptcy did not prevent his challenge to the lawfulness of findings as to his involvement in corrupt practices.
