R (on the application of Duncan Lewis Solicitors) v Lord Chancellor [2015] EWHC 2498 (Admin)

Solicitors who had had out-of-date evidence of the sums that a client was receiving under the Children Act 1989 s.17, but recent confirmation that support was continuing, had had to make a judgment on whether the client was eligible for legal aid on the basis of the evidence that they had. On an appeal against the reduction of their costs claim to nil, the adjudicator's task had been to consider whether that judgment had been reasonable. Acted for the Claimant solicitors.
