Landmark co-sponsors UKELA seminar in Northern Ireland

Landmark Chambers is co-sponsoring (with Tughans) a UKELA seminar in Northern Ireland on “Unmasking the significance of waste law”.

Amongst the speakers is David Elvin QC of Landmark Chambers who is speaking on “Recent developments in EU waste law”.

The event is being chaired by Professor Sharon Turner, Queen’s University Belfast

Six members of Landmark Chambers have been called to the Bar of Northern Ireland: William Hicks QC, David Elvin QC, Ashley Underwood QC, Scott Lyness, James Maurici and Charles Banner.

Last year Landmark was involved in cases in Northern Ireland both before the Planning Commission and the Higher Courts. David Elvin QC was involved in extensive advisory work on planning, environmental and human rights issues in Northern Ireland recently acting for Land Securities with Scott Lyness in the Inquiry at Banbridge into Tesco proposals for a Format 100 store. Tim Mould QC acted for the Northern Ireland Department of Environment in the same inquiry. He is currently acting for the Department of Environment in its response to the High Court challenge to the refusal for planning permission for that scheme. He has previously undertaken advocacy and advisory work on planning matters in Northern Ireland.
