House of Lords publishes library note on…

The House of Lords on 26 October 2015 published a short Library Note outlining the recent international discussions on climate change and negotiations for an agreement on the global response, including the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP21/CMP11) which will be taking place in Paris from 30 November to 11 December 2015. It then briefly summarises the UK Government’s policies on adaptation to the changing climate: click here.

UKELA, PEBA and ALBA are putting on an event to coincide with COP21/CMP11 to look at climate change and the courts, considering what is the future role of national courts, lawyers and the rule of law in dealing with climate change issues. Speakers will look at a range of issues including the Climate Change Act and the possible outcomes of COP21/CMP11: click here.
