Judicial Review over Giants’ Causeway World…

This week the High Court in Northern Ireland (Weatherup J.) has been hearing the judicial review brought by the National Trust against the decision of the Minister Alex Atwood to grant permission for a new golf resort at Bushmills close to the Giants' Causeway World Heritage Site. Issues concern proper account being taken of the UNESCO guidelines for WHSs, proper consultation with the World Heritage Committee as well as issues regarding economics benefits, EIA and Habitats issues.
