The Secretary of State has agreed with his Inspector, John Brathwaite, in granting permission for Vauxhall Cross scheme. The development will provide a major part of the new town centre in Vauxhall, and includes a 500+ room hotel, 260 homes, 220,000 sq ft of offices, and ground floor retail and restaurants. On addition to two towers at around 50 storeys, there will be a podium building, a new bus station and the facilitation of TfL’s revision to the Vauxhall gyratory system. The decision can be read here. Rupert Warren QC advised the developers and appeared at the call-in Inquiry.
