Christopher Lewsley’s practice is focused on non-domestic rating including rate recovery and valuation for rating. He has extensive experience in case preparation and advocacy in all tribunals and courts dealing with those topics. He has a substantial advisory practice, and is an author and speaker on all aspects of rating.

Christopher is a graduate of Leeds University with a PhD from Warwick University. He is a chartered engineer and a member of the Institution of Structural Engineers, the Planning and Environment Bar Association and the Constitutional and Administrative Law Bar Association. He is a former member of the Valuation Tribunal User Group and the Lands Tribunal (now Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber)) User Group.
Christopher is the General Editor of the Encyclopedia of Rating and Local Taxation, the Editor of Rating and Valuation Reporter and the Editor of Rating Appeals.
