New Appointments to the Attorney General’s Panel of Counsel – Effective 1 September 2025

We are pleased to announce a significant number of appointments, elevations and re-appointments to the Attorney General’s Panel of Counsel, effective from Monday 1 September 2025. 

Congratulations to Katrina Yates, Andrew Parkinson, Andrew Byass, Nick Grant, Katharine Elliot, Harriet Wakeman, Siân McGibbon, Joe Thomas, Barney McCay and Charles Bishop on their appointments and re-appointments to the Attorney General’s Panel of Counsel.

This year’s update reflects an especially high number of elevations across all levels of the Panel.

Panel Updates

• Katrina Yates has been re-appointed to the ‘A’ Panel for a further five-year term.
• Andrew Parkinson will be moving from the ‘B’ Panel to the ‘A’ Panel.
• Andrew Byass will be joining the ‘A’ Panel.
• Nick Grant will be moving from the ‘C’ Panel to the ‘B’ Panel.
• Katharine Elliot will be moving from the ‘C’ Panel to the ‘B’ Panel.
• Harriet Wakeman will be moving from the ‘C’ Panel to the ‘B’ Panel.
• Siân McGibbon will be joining the ‘C’ Panel.
• Joe Thomas will be joining the ‘C’ Panel.
• Barney McCay will be joining the ‘C’ Panel.
• Charles Bishop will be joining the ‘C’ Panel.
