Landmark Chambers becomes a Gold Circle Patron of Advocate

Landmark Chambers is now a Gold Circle Patron of Advocate 2026

Landmark Chambers is pleased to announce that it has become a Gold Circle patron of Advocate, the Bar’s national pro bono charity.

This reflects Landmark’s long‑standing and ongoing commitment to pro bono advocacy, widening access to justice, and supporting the legal profession’s collective responsibility to those who would otherwise be unable to secure representation. Becoming a Gold Circle patron recognises Chambers’ continued support for Advocate’s vital work and its role in strengthening a culture of pro bono across the Bar.

Advocate plays a crucial role in ensuring access to justice by matching individuals who cannot afford legal representation with barristers willing to act pro bono. Operating across England and Wales, the charity supports cases at all levels of court and across a wide range of practice areas, helping some of the most vulnerable members of society to navigate complex legal challenges.

Landmark Chambers has a strong history of supporting Advocate and the wider pro bono community. Members of Chambers regularly undertake pro bono work through Advocate and other schemes, contributing their expertise, time and commitment to cases where legal assistance is urgently needed.

Commenting on the announcement, Justin Bates KC, Pro Bono Champion at Landmark Chambers, said:

“Advocate provides an essential bridge between those in need of legal assistance and the barristers who can help. We are proud to support its work and to stand alongside Advocate in promoting access to justice and the values of pro bono advocacy at the heart of the profession.”

Landmark Chambers looks forward to continuing its work with Advocate and supporting the charity’s efforts to ensure that high‑quality legal advice and representation is available to those who need it most.
