Jon Wills KC and Leon Glenister KC are appointed…

Landmark congratulates Jon Wills KC and Leon Glenister KC on their appointment as King’s Counsel today (Monday 23 March 2026), marking a significant milestone in their legal careers and recognising their excellence in advocacy.

The appointments reflect their outstanding professional achievements, depth of legal expertise, and longstanding contributions to the legal profession. Achieving Silk is widely regarded as one of the highest honours for practising barristers, reserved for those who demonstrate exceptional skill, integrity, and leadership at the Bar.

Jon Wills KC

Jon was called to the Bar in 2006 and is a leading barrister specialising in property and planning law, frequently instructed on cases at the intersection of these disciplines. He has particular expertise in disputes involving the Electronic Communications Code and regularly advises on complex issues relating to development, infrastructure, and land use.

Described by Chambers & Partners as “an incisive and persuasive legal mind”, Jon was named Technology, Data and Crypto Junior of the Year at the Legal 500 UK Bar Awards in 2025 and is the author of The Electronic Communications Code: A Guide for Property Lawyers (Bloomsbury, 2025).

Leon Glenister KC

Leon was called to the Bar in 2011 and is a leading public law barrister, ranked by Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 in five practice areas, including Public, Education, and Planning law. Described as “one of the best public lawyers of his generation”, Leon is recognised for his work on complex, high-profile cases, including appearances before the Supreme Court and the European Court of Human Rights.

He is a member of the Attorney General’s A Panel and has been shortlisted for three Legal 500 UK Bar Awards. Leon is also a co-author of NHS Law and Practice (LAG, 2024) and the Noddy Guide to SEN and has taught Administrative Law at the University of Cambridge since 2013.
