The Journal of Planning and Environment Law (editor, Dr Ashley Bowes) has today published a paper authored by James Maurici KC and Nick Grant that closely examines the inquisitorial duty placed on Inspectors and the Secretary of State. It traces the origins of the duty, how it applies in various different contexts, and outlines some thoughts on what it requires, and what it does not.
