Court of Appeal gives important judgment on the ambit of the rule that lease terms must be “certain” and finds that the rule that an occupant who enters under a void lease and pays rent becomes a yearly tenant has been altered by comments made by the Supreme Court in Mexfield v Berrisford [2012] 1 AC 995.
