Landmark members feature in ‘The Biggest Planning Permissions of 2019’

Planning Magazine has today revealed ‘The Biggest Planning Permissions of 2019’, relating to the largest development schemes consented this year. The table of the biggest housing planning permissions of 2019 records that Landmark members acted in relation to two of those developments:

  • In relation to the approval of a 6,000 home Garden Village at Welborne Garden Village, Fareham, James Maurici QC advised the applicant (Buckland), and David Elvin QC and Richard Turney advised the local planning authority (Fareham Borough Council).
  • In relation to the approval of 1,200 homes at the latest phase of Newcastle Great Park, Charles Banner QC advised the applicants (Persimmon Homes and  Taylor Wimpey); Charles, together with Matthew Fraser, is now acting for them in defence of a judicial review brought by local objectors who are represented by Paul Brown QC and Katherine Olley. Matthew Reed QC and Richard Moules represent the local planning authority (Newcastle City Council).
