Landmark Chambers Birmingham Launch Party

To celebrate the launch of our Birmingham office, Landmark held a champagne drinks reception on the Discovery Terrace at the Library of Birmingham on Thursday 5^th July which, in addition to Chambers’ members, Practice Management and Marketing Team, was attended by over 100 guests. Landmark’s Chief Executive, Paul Newhall, gave a short introductory speech in which he outlined the ways in which our office on Cornwall Street would operate; with members of our Practice Management Team being present in the Midlands on a daily basis in order to meet with our clients, and space being available for client conferences, seminars and similar marketing events. Paul went on to stress Chambers’ desire to take an active role within the city’s business and professional services community. Our Joint Head of Chambers, Paul Brown QC, emphasised Landmark’s desire to strengthen our existing relationships and provide a more convenient service to our valued Midlands-based clients. In addition to leading the promotion of Phase 1 of HS2 through Parliament, Landmark has been involved in a number of Birmingham’s pivotal regeneration projects over the years, including Paradise Circus, Midland Metro, New Street Station and Grand Central. Chambers members also played a role in the renovation of the Library of Birmingham itself and we were delighted to hold our launch event at such an impressive venue. Tim Pile, the Chair of Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership and one of our esteemed guests, welcomed Landmark to Birmingham and spoke of the exciting ways in which the City is changing, not only in landscape, but also with the steady influx of new businesses and initiatives such as their recent successful bid to host the 2022 Commonwealth Games. We are excited to join the renaissance of the West Midlands and contribute to Birmingham’s legal sector, which “has become the hallmark of [the City’s] strength as a professional services centre and Landmark’s arrival adds a new dimension” (Andy Street, West Midlands Mayor).
