Following an Inquiry in May lasting 3 days, the Inspector Christina Downes BSc DipTP MRTPI dismissed the appeal on the basis that the harm to the green belt was not clearly outweighed by the benefits of the proposals, notwithstanding a housing land supply shortage and the planning history of the site, which lies adjacent to Grays. Click here for the appeal decision.
