Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse opens hearing into child sexual exploitation by organised networks

The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA) has opened a two-week hearing looking at the sexual exploitation by organised networks.  This complex and harmful phenomenon has previously been the subject of a great deal of media reporting and controversy.  The Inquiry will hear from a large number of national and local experts and will make recommendations about how responses to it can be improved. Ben Fullbrook is instructed as junior counsel to the Inquiry. Galina Ward is acting for the Department for Education. Chris Jacobs is acting for Maggie Oliver and Jon Wedger.
